This project valued at GBP 53,000 was contracted with the Scottish Climate Justice Innovation Fund under the “Development of Sustainable, Clean Cooking Facilities to boost resilience of Climate Change in Malawi” project. FAB Engineering was tasked with identifying and applying relevant technologies that would lead to the manufacturing of two facilities that produced clean, efficient and sustainable cooking gas energies, using local materials such as cow dung, food decomposable materials, human wastes and dried rice husks. The FAB Engineering team developed two systems, a wet biomass system, whose gas product was methane, and a dry biomass system, whose gas product was syngas (synthetic gas).
